Fire Safety Training (PKK) 2023

Kong Brothers Group, in collaboration with Balai Bomba (Cawangan Seri Kembangan), successfully conducted a Fire Safety Training Course on September 15th, 2023, prioritizing our employees’ safety and readiness in the event of fire emergency. This comprehensive training covered crucial skills in fire prevention, firefighting, and emergency response, aligned with Akta Perkhidmatan Bomba 1988 (Akta 341). Participants gained knowledge about fire terminology, evacuation procedures, fire extinguishers, and the pivotal role of Emergency Response Teams as ‘First Responders.’ We remain steadfast in our commitment to a safe workplace. Safety is our top priority.

Kong Brothers to Expand Overseas

HOME-grown shoe maker, Kong Brothers group, is expanding its overseas business to the Middle East and Europe this year, in its effort to establish self as an international brand.

Its finance and export division manager, Alex Ool, said the company currently exports to Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia, which in total accounted for less than 5% of its revenue.

He expects exports to comprise 20% of its revenue this year on the back of its expansion plans. Kong Brothers group is also the largest shoe wholesaler In Southeast Asia.

“For Europe, we are targeting France and ltaly. We now have a big and comfortable shoe showroom for our dealers to look at our vast array of shoes,” Ool told reporters after the opening ceremony of the Kong Brothers Shoes City showroom in Seri Kembangan yesterday.

He said with the large volume supplies of various in-house designs, Kong Brothers was able to provide shoes for their male and female leather shoes, children’s shoes, industrial safety shoes, casual shoes, sports shoes, slippers and sandals.

The showroom has entered the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest shoe showroom, displaying more than 50,000 different shoe designs on a 21,500 sq ft arms.

KUMPULAN Kong Brothers, antara pengedar kasut terkemuka di Malaysia, menempa nama dalam Malaysia Book of Records sebagai pemborong kasut terbesar di Asia Tenggara dengan pembukaan Galeri Kasut Kong Brothers, di Seri Kembangan, Selangor, baru-baru ini.

Galeri seluas 21,600 kaki persegi itu mempamerkan hampir 30,000 je nama kasut tempatan meliputi pelbagai jenis seperti kasut sukan, kasut kulit, kasut keselamatan industri, selipar dan sandal.

Pengasas Kumpulan Kong Brothers, Kong Kwai Meng, berkata galeri itu yang dibuka kepada peruncit, bertujuan memberi mereka lebih banyak pilihan kasut bermutu tinggi untuk ditawarkan kepada pembeli. Katanya, dengan saiz bilik pameran kasut yang luas, syarikat mampu menawarkan lebih banyak pilihan kasut, berbanding pesaing di negara ini.

“Kami percaya galeri ini akan menjadi pusat pemborong kasut tempatan pertama yang menawarkan kasut pada harga rendah dan berpatutan, selain reka bentuk menarik serta berkualiti tinggi,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian pada majlis perasmian galeri itu oleh Timbalan Menteri Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri, Datuk Tan Chai Ho, baru-baru ini.

Kong berkata, selain pasaran tempatan, syarikat itu kini menumpukan perhatian kepada pasaran lain di Asia Tenggara seperti Singapura, Indonesia dan Brunei dalam usaha mengembangkan perniagaannya.

Katanya, syarikat juga sedang mengkaji untuk meneroka pasaran kasut di beberapa negara Asia Barat dan Eropah yang akan dilaksanakan dalam masa terdekat ini.

“Kami yakin industri kasut Malaysia mempunyai masa depan yang cerah dan mampu menembusi pasaran global, walaupun terpaksa berdepan saingan dari negara luar seperti China,” katanya.
